One Day;

We are all going to grow old. We are going to realize who are the special ones around us. What we have screwed up and what else can we do to make it right.

No matter how many fail attempts we have made, we will find the right one. Till then, keep trying. Don’t lose hope.

Maybe you should try watching this movie “One Day”. Nothing fancy, just something we would more or less grow up to be like from now on. The changes doesn’t apply to just them, we are all in it already. In the process of changing, finding out what’s in store for us.

Plus minus.

I’ve finally settled down with a job that will start next week till the end of July. I’m not sure if I’m happy or sad. One thing for sure, I don’t like the way the job agency work.

Setting that aside, I had a tiring day today.

Take a look at this trampoline, nice isn’t it? Yes, I went to a customer’s house to fix this. It’s 14ft in diameter.

I took this picture from the website because it’s similar to the one we fixed. I swear it’s hell lot of work. First thing, the garden was at the back and there’s a lot of steps that we even had to step onto the edge of the swimming pool just to get up there. Which means, we had to open up the entire box and carry the poles one by one. Just picture that, how much of work is required just to transport the poles there. Not taking into account the amount of mosquito bites we had and the horrible environment to work with.

Just complaining. :(

So anyway, finally met up with my favourite girls to ‘celebrate’ bethany’s birthday which was longgg overdue. So sorry about that! But I’m pretty sure she had fun with us :D Look at the amount of gifts she got from all of us! :D

Btw, this was the place we went. Wild Honey :) The place only serves breakfast sets so we practically ate breakfast in the night. We sat outside, not exactly windy but the ambience was great.

It’s actually not bad, just that there’s tooo much black beans in it. Otherwise, pretty nice. Unique taste I would say :D I didn’t appreciate the sauces in red and white though. The green one was nice, yum yum.

Hand moisturiser from mel! Not for me though, mine was a perfume bar hehe loved it <3 Don’t think those cute little creatures have awful smell okay, they smell really good. Especially bethany’s one, the mint one. Smells like Johnson Baby!

So anyway, I’ll be heading to Taiwan next week! Haven’t plan my itinerary haha. Anywhere to recommend? :D

Love ‘em

So I have been thinking about where I should go from here, in terms of career and what I really want to do. Most of my friends are doing admin job right now, earning a decent pay. As for me, I’m still stuck with a part-time job at ELC. Not that I don’t enjoy working there, but the pay is pretty miserable.

It’s like, I want a decent paying job (office job) but I don’t wanna not see the kids. I’m missing them already, every time I step into the mall, the first thing I’ll lookout for is them. Sounds crazy but I love them :D

And a few days back was Tay’s birthday, had dinner with the girls at POP EYES. We bought her a classic doraemon watch, very pretty!

And the best part..

My dad recently brought us to the prawn mee stall which I used to have every weekend when I was young. It used to be located somewhere in MacPherson, then to Chinatown and now at Joo Chiat Road. I heard it used to be $3 per bowl and if I didn’t remember wrongly, I used to have 1.5 bowls of it. It’s really yummy, the soup is superb. :D

I’ve no idea where the exact location is but I took a picture of the map while I was there. Only two buses can reach there, 16 & 33. It’s about $5 or $8 per bowl right now. I know it’s really expensive for a bowl of prawn noodle but trust me, it’s really different. The flavour of the soup is really thick and aromatic. The bee hoon that they use is not the thin ones and most importantly, they serve their prawns and pork ribs generouslyy. :D FRESH I PROMISE :D

The stall name is “DA DONG PRAWN NOODLES”. 40 years of history as shown on their signboard. hehe :D

Time flies.

Starting to wonder what’s in stall for us. The future that we’re all working towards to, the phases of our lives, the thought of our friends leaving one by one. You can’t really say for sure who’s going to be there for you through it all. I’ll miss all these.

Just got back from a 3D2N chalet with the clique and some friends. Overall was okay, sort of a mini getaway. Most of them left on the second night, leaving just the 4 of us. It was pretty nice having just the 4 of us, playing mahjong, watching shows, singing to songs and all the random talkings. Love them :D

Gonna miss times like this for sure.

Farewell

So I had a farewell ceremony last Friday just for my course. The timing was crazily early but no doubt, it was pretty well organised. At least, better than what I went through in secondary school. It wasn’t even a proper graduation ceremony, lots of hiccups out there.

Anyway, there’s quite a lot of gifts that was given out, goodie bag as well. Wasn’t expecting any of those, honestly. The feeling was great, seeing your peers and lecturers for the last time till we wear the robe and officially graduate in May.

With my clique and two of my favourite teachers, will miss them for sure! Too adorable :D

And last but not least, our class photo. Every class had to come up with a 4 minute video and my classmates don’t really take pictures together so the pictures used were really limited.

The teachers were so sweet to have sung us this song, “If we hold on together”. I reallyy don’t get that in secondary school. All I had was ‘朋友’ by 周华健 :( The audio and sound system was also badddd. Will be looking forward to the real graduation in May :D

As for now, I’ll continue my search for some better paying jobs till I embark on another chapter of my life. Also, I’ve just started watching this comedy drama “Whitney”. It’s pretty good :D

Tradition never dies.

Short week and I like it. Worked 3 days and it’s Saturday tomorrow! So happy :D

Btw, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO YOU! :D

Like what I’ve said earlier on, I’ve spent my Chinese New Year at grandparent’s place in Chinatown. It’s really a long day there but I had a great laugh when we chanced upon our childhood photos. It’s really HILARIOUS hahaha. Most of them are our Thailand trip with my grandparents and my uncle, mine was with my cousin who’s one year younger.

I really think I look like GARFIELD. DO I? hahahaha

The pictures are blur because I merely took a picture of the photos. And this is my FAVOURITE, I look retardedly happy! :D

Had my reunion dinner soon after photos viewing, I feel full just by looking at the amount of food we had. Very heartwarming though :)

After which we watched some random shows on TV, went downstairs to the streets to ‘try’ Taiwan jellies which we ate for free hehe. Followed by some mini gambling session till about 11.40 when it started to rain heavily, so mood dampening. :( Even so, we went to the corridor to countdown because from that view, we get to see the fire crackers followed by fireworks. I wasn’t expecting either of it due to the heavy downpour but I’m so glad it continued, Tradition never dies. :D

Pre CNY

And when the clock strike 12AM tonight, it’ll be Chinese New Year.

I remember I used to like CNY when I was younger because I get to play cards with my relatives. In the bad term, it’s called gambling haha. Well, as you grow older, you start to realize it’s not that fun anymore. It’s not fun winning your relative’s money and it some sort of portray yourself as a gambler? That’s my pov anyway. Then again, that seem to be the only entertainment when you do visiting. I’m not anywhere close to my relatives on my dad’s side. Mother’s side, yes.

How will you be spending your CNY countdown tomorrow? When and where will your reunion dinner be? :)

For me, I had a mini reunion dinner with my lovely girlfriends, yy and my dearest boy. :D I can’t express how I happy I am because it’ve been quite awhile since I hang out with my girlfriends together with my boy. It’s like the best of both worlds. :) We had dinner at Bedok 85, that’s what everyone calls it. The food there is like chompchomp style, pretty nice. Okay honestly, it’s the companion I had <3 I love every single one of them there. Of course not leaving out my chewchew who didn’t managed to turn up, sadly.

Talking about her, we celebrated her 20th Birthday at Timbre Old School! It’s our first time there for most of us, even herself! She’ve been to other branches but not this hehe. We even colluded with the waitresses beforehand to bring out the cake after our dinner and together with the band to sing her a birthday song. I must say, I love their service! And of course, the band that day. We went on a Tuesday. Love their teamwork and voices, melodious. :D

We ordered buffalo wings, calamari rings, roasted duck pizza, salmon pizza and timbre seafood pizza. All in order except calamari rings. I think everything is nice! :D

I was really elated to know that we’re going to have full attendance for that day! In addition, we also had yy with us. Can’t wait for the day where we all bring our +1 out together. :D

Side tracking, I met MelL today for some last minute CNY shopping! Kinda miss hanging out with her, doing all the talkings and stuffs you know. :D Dined at Old Town White Coffee and I ordered chicken and egg wanton noodle, it’s pretty good I feel! It’s a pretty high end wanton noodle I know, but the noodle just tasted a little different. Yummy :D Their coffee all looked very tempting too, but I got myself an Ice Milk Tea instead.

Oh and yes, I’m trying out some products and procedures in removing blackheads. Hopefully it works! I’ll share it if it does hehe. Okay I’m having a splitting headache now, shall turn in early before the 12 hours that I’m going to spend at Chinatown later on till countdown. :)
